The world, once covered in ice, has come to a meltdown point. While Sid and Diego plunge into the waters, Manny plunges into grief, thinking he is "the last mammoth".Knowing that they are in danger of a huge flood, the three heroes and the rest of the animals seek refuge in the boat, at the end of the valley.On their journey, they came across Ellie, a female mammoth and her too possum "brothers",Eddie and Crash. Although they can't stand each other, they decided to continue the journey together. A series of funny and deadly events unfold only to bring to terms. Scrat, who had little to do in the first movie, came in this one a "savior". His constant chase of the nut isn't in vain. It caused a crack in the glacial dam allowing it to break and let out the waters. Everybody is then saved.
